Based in Switzerland, Christian Zilocchi, also known as Chris Z-Lucky, has always been fascinated by colours, images and sounds. A self-taught artist, he works across various fields, including music, painting and comic strips — notably his three-panel characters “Jaune & Vert”, which have appeared in the print edition of the Swiss French-language newspaper 20 Minutes and every Saturday in Le Quotidien in Luxembourg. Music has also been an integral part of his life: first during childhood, thanks to his parents, both amateur classical musicians, and later through his work for a music festival and a major record label. He describes his paintings as follows: “I have always been drawn to colours, images and sounds. My creative approach is about illustrating worlds where energies, souls and tangible universes intersect. As a self-taught artist, I create my paintings by blending different techniques such as acrylic, collage, gold leaf and more.”
